The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.
The point is that we can control our minds. We can even control our bodies.
And that control doesn’t just come from controlling our thoughts, but from controlling our bodies as well. I’ve seen friends who seem to have no control over their skin, or their weight, or even their sex drive. It’s as if their self-awareness are all that keeps them from being completely out of control.
Ok. I’m a little uncomfortable with the idea of being controlled by your body. I like to think of myself as an open-minded person. But when you are in your body, its easy to think it can be controlled, or even that you control it. Its so easy to tell yourself your body is yours, and you can do with it as you please.
I used to think that if I could convince my self that my body was mine, then I could get rid of it. But I don’t think this is true. If you feel like your body is your own, then it is. And if you don’t like your body, then move it.
If you are in your body, you can control it more. But even still, it’s important that you not allow yourself to confuse this control with actual control. If you feel like your body is your own, then it is. And if you dont like your body, then make it go away. By not letting yourself feel that you are in control, you are denying yourself this control.
It’s not that I dont like my body. It is that I dont want to let it all go away. In fact, if you are in your body, then it is. And if you dont want to let your body go away, then you are also denying yourself this control.
The truth is that your body comes with a lot of power. You have control over it, and you can exert that power. If you feel like you are the one in control, then you are. If you dont like your body, then you can take it away.
I actually don’t think its really a good thing, because it is. And if I dont like my body, then you are also denying yourself the control. In fact, if you dont like your body, then you are denying yourself the control.
