In case you missed it, I’ve written about a few ways to stop licking your lips a lot in the past. You can see a list of them here. The one I’m going to discuss today is the one that doesn’t get talked about a lot, but is actually very important. I call this the “licking your lips action”.
What it is is the act of actually going to the next level of your body, starting the next activity or movement that you are about to do. This is extremely important when you are not even touching your lips, because the act of licking your lips is the first step in what we call deep relaxation. This is very important for you to know because it will help you stop being so anxious about what you are going to do when you start your day.
It’s important for you to know that this act of doing something is a very conscious act. I’ve also made a note of that.
This is because when you are not touching your lips, you are going to be thinking about what you are going to do. Think about what you are going to do in the short time you have available to you. You might be driving down the road or sitting at your computer for hours (or days) and you wont be thinking about what you are going to do. That is by design.
If you think about your mouth and the lips that are touching it, you will have a very clear idea about what you are going to do. If you are not planning on licking your lips, you need to stop, think about what you are going to do, and then do it. Because when you start to think about what you are going to do it’s going to make you feel like you have a chance of it.
It’s like if you are a child and you have been sitting at your desk for hours and you start thinking about your favorite game and you start writing a game review. You realize that you are going to write a review of the game you played the last time you were sitting at your desk. You feel that you are on a track and the track is going to lead to something. You have all kinds of ideas and you feel that you are on a good track.
Well, you’d be wrong.
Licking your lips is the wrong analogy. Licking your lips is the wrong metaphor. And, like other metaphors, it is wrong because it doesn’t allow us to understand that we are using it incorrectly. Licking your lips is not a tool to be used to make you feel better. And if you’re not feeling better, there is no reason to use it.
I’m going to write what you said about my feeling better after having tried to find the right way to stick my tongue in my mouth.
You are making a leap here. Licking your lips can be used to convey positive emotions, but its use is very limited. It can be used to make you feel a certain way, but not positive emotions. It can be used to make you feel good, but not positive emotions. And most importantly, its use is not always positive. And we can only make that leap if we understand that it is not a tool we can use to improve our feelings.
