I hate hangovers. I know, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I’m not alone. It is true. If you drink a lot of tea it will help with hangovers. But if you can’t drink anything that’s going to help you that much, I would recommend avoiding teas and trying something else.
In fact, tea has been shown to be one of the most effective things you can do for treating hangovers. In one study it was found that tea drinkers were less likely to fall into a bad mood and were also less likely to be depressed. That’s a big deal, since depression is a huge problem for a lot of people who drink tea.
For me, after my first night in the hospital, I didn’t drink anything for a day or so, just because I was too weak to stand. The next morning I woke up with a hangover, but I had no idea what to do with it. At first I just thought, “haha, it’s the tea, so what?” But then, after putting my brain to sleep, I realized, “oh, okay. I’ll just drink lots of tea.
Drinking tea is one of the primary ways to get rid of a hangover. You can’t control how much a tea is, but you can certainly control how many teas you drink. It’s also very important to drink tea at night as well since it helps slow the effects of the alcohol.
That last sentence is a bit of a double-edged sword. You can drink a lot of tea, but you can also drink a lot of alcohol. When you drink a lot of tea, you are actually drinking more alcohol. But it’s important to know that because of the alcohol, other things like alcohol, caffeine, and the hormones that regulate your body’s consumption of these kinds of things can also be affected by the alcohol.
