The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

Of course, autopilot is the name of a game. How many people use it in everyday life? I think the word is more of a metaphor for when you are at rest. When you are at rest, you are not actively thinking about the things you are doing at that moment. You are not thinking about the objects you are holding in your hands, or about who you are talking to, or about the things you are going to eat. You are just, well, resting.

In order to have thoughts and actions that control your life, you have to be able to identify what you are thinking and what you are doing. For example, you can tell you are doing the wrong thing by looking down at your penis, but you can also tell you are doing the right thing by looking in front of you. This is because your body is a machine, and a machine cannot tell you what you are doing wrong unless you tell it.

When you are in a state of denial, you are going to be in a state of automatic-awareness and you will probably not be aware of it. In fact, it can be very difficult to tell you are in a state of denial when you are eating a cracker. It is because you are in a state of automatic awareness that you are able to tell you are eating a cracker.
