Calcium, however, is a mineral that occurs naturally in the body. Calcium is vital to maintaining a healthy body and eye. If it is not maintained, it can cause problems in the body, which include, but are not limited to, loss of bone mass, muscle weakness, and nerve damage. Calcium is necessary for healthy bones, teeth, and muscles. We can get calcium from food, from supplement, or from supplements.
In an article in the latest issue of the New York Times, Dr. Robert Proctor, a gastroenterologist at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, says that the recent increase in calcium consumption is due to people “wasting away.” He cites the study done by the American Dietetic Association that found that Americans are consuming too much calcium, causing the body to store it in the bones.
The increase in calcium intake is one of the reasons for the rising incidence of osteoporosis for women in the last few decades. If you’re not a woman, calcium is also required for normal bone growth in men, but it’s a small amount and we eat the same amount as we did a decade ago.
The fact that calcium is a small amount (one-sixth of the recommended daily intake) seems to be causing a lot of concern. While we all need calcium, there are those who are not getting the benefits of it. For example there are those who are getting more calcium from dairy products than they should. That is a problem because people are overconsuming dairy products, which then causes the calcium to build up in the body instead of being excreted.
While you might think calcium is all about building muscle and burning fat, it’s actually good for the heart. Calcium is especially important in the body because one of the building blocks for muscle is phosphorus. The body can only store so much phosphorus, therefore too much stored in your body can cause problems for you, especially if you are taking a prescription medication.
The calcium build up in our bodies is a great example of this because it can actually cause the body to store more than it is capable of. While the body can store a certain amount of calcium in, there is a limit to how much you can store at any one time. When we store more calcium than we are capable of, there is a possibility that our body can actually store too much. This causes an imbalance between what the body is storing and what the body needs.
Our bodies are like the gears that keep us running. We can’t run on empty because we need calcium to make our bones and organs work properly. The calcium we do store is for things like our teeth, bones, and muscles.
The calcium stored in our teeth is the same as the calcium stored in our bones, and we are made to store more calcium than we need. By bringing it down, we can stop the calcium buildup in our teeth.
In this case, the calcium is brought down by making sure your teeth are kept full. I know this seems silly, but many dentists recommend this because it’s more economical to do so. It’s true that it’s not as effective on the whole, but on many people’s teeth it is a big help.
Having teeth with plenty of calcium is much more important than having teeth with very little calcium. In this case, we are told that calcium is stored in your teeth like a hard candy. But since you have the same amount of calcium as your bones, you can store that much more in your teeth than your bones at the same time. This is why we should have no problem finding a denture that has plenty of calcium in it.
