I have been experiencing the worst possible case of heartburn ever since I finished my bottle of water. I think it has to do with all the caffeine I’ve been drinking. My body seems to have started producing excess cortisol, which is responsible for the heartburn.

I don’t know that you can blame all this on caffeine, but I hope you still drank water. There are a few possible solutions to this problem. Drinking enough fluids can alleviate this problem. Also, taking some time to relax after drinking (like a massage) can help.

In this case, it seems like the water may have put a stop to the cortisol production. When you are dehydrated, your body needs more water to keep itself functioning.
